Yellowing pages, moisture stains, fading, ink runs, handling, rips, tears, folds bumps, scratches and burns are all signs of usage and breakdown.
I re-create that same worn and torn, antiquian look, using a variety of techniques including Ink washes, distressing inks and chalks, distressing edges by sanding, folding, crumpling, sealing and brush splattering. Once all of these materials are compiled into a layout, re-worked with even more distressing techniques, and then framed behind glass, the finished result looks like a framed time capsule!!!"
